I know little about car speakers so I need help. I want to replace the factory 6x9 in the front/rear of my '06 Town-n-Country minivan. Not looking for anything fancy with a budget of around $300 for the two pair. I don't care about ear bleeding volume, although I occasionally do a bit of head banging. Suggested brands (probably just coaxils) and can I use 6x5 instead? Thanks!! |

I assume you mean 6.5"? Round? Do you know exactly what size speakers are in front/rear? |

SkieS, I really don't know? I'm fairly sure the back one's are 6x9. The grills appear that both are 6x9 but I need to check closer. Suggestions if both are 6x9 or if its 6x9 and 6x5? |

Thanks Mat! Are you saying to just get a pair of speakers and amop and skip the back? Earth shattering sound levels are not important to me. That's why I was thinking of the two pair. |

basically rear speakers arnt needed unless you often have passengers in the back. so really a good pair of speakers in the front, on am amp is all you really need. 6.5 speakers can only play down so low so i suggest you buy a small sub and a little amp just to fill in the lower frequencys. i would do this after you put the speakers in because you may find you dont want one. |
