ok i have been looking at amps and i noticed that it always says that 2 subs at 2 ohm gets more power out of that amp than ones with 4 ohms. so my question is. should i look for a sub that is 2 ohms or am i just retarted and have no idea what im talkin about?

Match the ohms on the subs to your amp and you will be fine.
