I'm very lost i know alot but idk where the hell i'm going with my setup atm. right now i got the alpine mrp - m850 it's rated at 4ohms into 500 wx1 rms and 800wx1 at 2 ohms.

i have it going to 2 infinity 12's at 1252w at 300 rms the normal impedence on the spec sheet says 2 or 8 ohms i followed infinitys wiring chart for 4 oms at 2 woofers and wired it like this http://www.infinitysystems.com/car/support/SubwooferWiring/sub_wiring_diagram.as px?type=2-4-4
i tuned it up using the calculator on here for the gain i set it with a 50 hz test tone, i havent messed with one setting though. tthere is a bass eq setting? is this bass boost? or a actual setting? i set it up and it sounds really low nothing like it should so i'm wondering do i need a new ohm load? how do i set this up for the 2 infinity's ?

I'd leave the bass eq at 0, or near it, especially if you set the gain with the eq at 0.

where's your LP filter set?

lp is around 50 - 60 hz it was tuned with a 50 hz test tone. as i said before though, thier dual voice coil wired like this. http://www.infinitysystems.com/car/support/SubwooferWiring/sub_wiring_diagram.as px?type=2-4-4

44.7 volts is what my amp rated on the calculator. i'm still confused as my subs spec sheet says normal impedence at 2 or 8 ohms

individually a dvc 4 sub IS 2 (coils parallel) or 8 (coils in series).
the mfg can only tell you the specs of ONE sub.

TOGETHER - TWO dvc 4's can be wired for 1, 4 or 16 ohms

Turn your LP filter up to ~75hz

i searched for a bit and came across crutchfields listing of my woofer. it states it as a 4 ohm woofer. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-GhiZI4oWmBO/cgi-bin/prodview.asp?i=1081252W

whats my best bet for this setup leave them as this http://www.infinitysystems.com/car/support/SubwooferWiring/sub_wiring_diagram.as px?type=2-4-4

heres a really weird one, my woofer on best buy.com. where i got them, the same watts, are rated everything the same. except the peak power is rated at 1000 not 1200 like mine and it's listed at 8 ohm. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7730155&type=product&productCatego ryId=cat03081&id=1140392384210

does this make any sense?????

the crutchfield and best buy links both indicate it is a dvc 4. Crutchfield states it clearly - best buy requires a tiny bit of intuition.

the way you have it wired (4 ohms total) is the way to go with the m850.
