sry this is prolly a stupid question but im new to all this so any help will be nice. i have to 12" kicker compVR's and i have no idea what amp i should be getting

I had a pair of 12"Cvr...I used a Hifonics BXI1206d did a real Good job...And its about $230 brand new.
Do you have 2ohm or 4ohm subs.

They are both good, just different wiring options

2ohm or 4ohm doesn't make it better thats for wiring.

Heres how you would wire them to 1ohm.

Actually the impedence you run on a sub has an effect on the sound quality. The lower the impedence (like 8 ohm) the better the SQ. But if you want more punch then wire it with more impedance (like 2 ohm).

Sunny is right, except that 8ohm is the higher impedance, not a lower one. Mike, what's your budget? Chances are you can do a lot better than hifonics.
