just ordered the 9883 for passat 2002.wanted to upgrade from stock unit so i could have better sirius and ipod connections.any comments on this unit would be appreciated.also wondering if the 9885 is $100 better? any thoughts would be helpful.

The 9883 is a solid unit and with the Alpine full speed iPod cable has great interface with the iPod. With the 9885 you'd pretty much be paying for the 4V pre-outs and I don't personally see a 2V bump being worth the extra cash.
