what would you guys rather and why. three 5 volt preamp outputs or one 8 volt preamp output. im stuck weather or not to buy a eclipse cd5000 or the eclise cd7000 any suggestions on which HU you guys like better would be appreciated to. |

7000 is an amazing unit. I own a 5000 and it is great too, but not nearly the level of the 7000. Preamp output wise, theres hardly any difference between any voltages 5+. |

Depends how many RCAs you need to run. If you only will EVER need to run one back, then get the 8. However, if you are running a front stage and subs, I would think the other would be better. |

Watch out with 8 volt units.... many amplifiers cannot accept a signal that high. (The highest number on the gain adjustment is the highest preamp signal the amp can handle) I would get the 5 volt one for that reason. |
