If I've got a sub amp and a speaker amp, some 1/0 wiring kickin around, not enough for 2 full runs for each amp, could I not just use 1/0 up to a distribution block, then 1/0 to each amp from the dist block? Might seem like a stupid question but anyways, thanks for you time. |

Depends on how much power your trying to pull, and the wires coming from the dist. block have to be big enough still. If its under 2K you shouldnt have a problem. |

That would work out fine Skies. You may need to step the wire size down though using a 1/0 to dual 4Awg or distro block or something like that for your speaker amp. |

Yeah, you can use a fused distribution block and do 2 very short runs of 4awg wire from there. |

That's the thing though, I don't have any 4awg wire sitting around, would I just be able to use some 1/0 that I have sitting around to save some funds? |

Do you already have the block? Most distribution blocks output smaller wire than they accept. |

You'll need one like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/DB-Link-Chrome-0-Gauge-T-Distribution-Block-AWG-GA_W0QQitemZ 170109379998QQihZ007QQcategoryZ50550QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem 0awg in and 0awg out. |

"That's the thing though, I don't have any 4awg wire sitting around, would I just be able to use some 1/0 that I have sitting around to save some funds?" Sure, just strip the wire down to fit it inside the amp's terminals. |
