I have an Alpine CDM-7874 cd player in my car and it will turn on for a little while and then just shut off after a couple of min. I was just wondering if anyone would have an idea of what is going on with it.

try checking ur ignition wire if the unit dosen't sense it it won't stay on , on the kardon drive play same ish happened and i hooked the ignition wire up and presto all peachy , deff recheck ur wire if thier fine ur grounding and tripping it into protect mode but typically it would happen fast deff recheck ur wires like clock and ignition feeds.
