I understand where this goes and all, but its like...would you have to sacrafice two speakers to install this or would there be some splicing involved? |

You need a prossesor that can give you 5.1 souround. I am running a parametric eq that has a mid channel output on it, so it combines signal from l/r channels to the mid at diffrent freqs. This is the one I got. Nothing great, but it work ok. http://www.overstock.com/?page=proframe&prod_id=1496501

A 5.1 is good for home because you can move the speakers to be equal distance...If you put that in your dash, I think it will make your imaging worse. It will be quite a bit closer to your ears than door or pillar speakers. IMO, you could spend your money elsewhere and see better results. |
