You guys do realize that the JBL he mentioned is the Crown model right? That thing is a beast.
And Oleg, the JBL is not a lower priced amp compared to the JL. The Memphis is, and it isn't even fair to compare it to these other two at all.
I personally, being a life-long observer of the quality of Crown amps due to my extensive touring experience, would choose the JBL no question. When and if JL designs an amplifier that is run at full output every single night in a hot, dusty, smoky, unpredictable atmosphere... and then tossed into a truck and having the sh!t shaken out of it for many hours on bumpy roads-- lemme know mmmk? |

JL = 1000 watts RMS @1-4 ohms from 11-14 volts. One bad aS$ amp, but pricy. |

JBL amp is about $50 less on eBay than the JL, so it would translate into about $100 in MSRP difference. |

Jbl crown amps have a regulated power supply just like JL amps. So they put out rated power between 1-4 ohms. And they are underated like JL amps. Either one would be a good choice. |

The JL can put out full power anywhere between 11v-14.5v. The JBL is rated at 14.4v. The JL also has a higher dampening factor.(better control over the sub). The bpx1100.1 is a two channel amp. it can operate at 2-4ohms bridged. Or the channels can be connected in parallel and operate at full power between 1-4 ohms. I would get the JL. But both would serve you well. |
