Hi, I have a 2005 Chevy Malibu and as you might know, the cd decks on these cars have a bunch of information about the car and preferences saved so i'd rather not replace the deck itself. I do however, want new speakers very much, and have heard that aftermarket speakers require an aftermarket cd deck in order to power it.

I was thinking about just replacing the stock speakers with some $100 infinitys. My question to you knowledgeable folk is this - how much do you think this deck will be able to give me out of these speakers or does anyone know the wattage of this deck? i couldn't find it...i don't think the deck has a spot to hook up an amplifier either. thank you very much

your deck should be able to handle them just fine.
