I have a Infinty Gold system in vehicle that works fine except for CD player ( it works when it wants to . There is a cassette player that works fine but is hardly used. I wanted to replace head unit with Pioneer DEH P4800 MP BUT was told since is Infinity " GOLD " system the speakers will all have to be replaced , rewired, and then the Infinity System will have to be bypassed. I'm no Einstein BUT if your replacing the entire system why in the $#%& does the Infinity system YOUR REPLACING have to be bypassed ( there is an additional charge for this and that is why I'm asking.... HELP !!!}

use an OEM amp interface. it's a little box with gain controls that installs behind the headunit and is connected to your speaker wires.
