pioneer and alpine are both good. i dont have any experience with the clarion stuff though. my only complaint with the pioneer is the lack of a dedicated pause button on the face of the unit. (DEH-4900iB) but other than that it's great, crossovers for the speakers, 4v pre-outs, etc, etc... |

dunkino's talking about nav HU's, not basic single din stereo HU's. i'd stick with the pioneer. its got the best nav system and the most tuner options. i really dont like the alpine these days. ive got a 9857 HU right now and im switching it out for a 980bt pioneer HU. theres absolutely no sound shaping options on the alpine stuff these days that are actually worth a damn. pioneer's always the way to go for nav systems. but also check out eclipse, their stuff is good too. the nav's not quite as intuitive, but some of the dvd features are better. for example, if you wanna let the passengers watch a dvd while your driving, you can wire the eclipse for that. i dont believe you can wire the pioneer for that though. |
