I have two alpine type r 12" subs and they are 500 watt rms and 1000 watt peak. i would like a not to expensive amp but is still a good amp that will get them lound. looking on spending 200-300$ dual voice coil and 4 ohms |

I'd say buy James amp. Most likely your car wont be putting 14volts. At 12.8 is only 886. But that's just me. |

Depeniding on you car, but you should get at least 13.8...14.4 takes some minor upgrades like a Yellow top and a Distributor Cap. The PCX from James would be nice, but Memphis is better quality and they give you specific ratings at specific voltage readings. See if you can find the ratings for the PCX and look it up in comparison to the Memphis amp. Volt for volt, there is no contest, MEMPHIS is better. |

Woops, my badd James, I got you and Robbie mixed up. You won't see much of a power difference between the Orion and the Memphis amp, both of the two would be great options. |
