So I'm getting my boyfriend a HD ready in dash for his 95 Civic tomorrow. The options are the Alpine CDA9856 or the CDE 9856. Both are like the same price at different places. What's the difference if there is one? And which one should I get him. Some one PLEASE HELP ME! Email me back at Ashlyn17@gmail.com or let me know on here. Thanks so much! I really need some advice...I know nothing about this stuff!

The CDE model is now discontinued (as of 11-06) and it doesn't have any of Alpine's "ai-net" features on it either, such as HD radio, cd changer capability, etc. The A in CDA stands for ai-net capable, and that one will do the things you wanted. A fair price on that model is around $160-170 just so you know.

So get the CDA9856 and you're all set. Merry Christmas Ashlyn.
