I have a single 12" Alpine Type X DVC (4ohm+4ohm)
and a
Hifonics Titan TX-1505d 1000w Mono-Block Amplifier,
My alpine is wired at 2ohm and I'm running 1000w rms to it...
and a 4 gauge amp kit
I just need to know what size fuse to put in the in-line fuse holder that powers my amplifier..
So what size??

to be on the safe side go with the 100 and if gets blown easy go up one higher and so on and so on, fuses are cheap buying a new amp after you fried it isnt |

why are you getting a 100A fuse taking the risk that you might blow it nick. Play safe and get a bigger one. I don't see the point of your post nick. Do it right the first time |

What is the fuse rating on that amp. What and how many fuses are on the side. I would have to say it will probably have 2 60A fuses on it so I would go with 120A-125A.
It is safe to go 5A over and still be safe. Some reccamend for a 5A overage to have less unnecessary fuse failures.
60A fuses x 2 = 120A SO Go with 125A |

really? New one on me.
Did you dream that one up all on your own??
IF you know anything about fuses you know they can pass 2x their rated current dynamically.
SO yeah, 125A will work. 120's fine. 100A will work just fine too, and provide more protection against over-current. Not that it matters, but chances are 80A will probably get it done as well.
But by all means - 125A is the way to go since that's the new Sinful Systems "rule".

i would def. say just go with the 150A
becuase i use to have that same amp for two diamond audio TDX D9 10"s and i had a 100A and it blew in the first couple of weeks i upgraded to a 150A and it never blew for a few months until i sold my system |
