I have a kenwood kdc-mpv5025 and when I stick my CD in and connect the head unit, the display flashes for a little bit, but after that the whole thing shuts off and I have to disconnect the head unit and reconnect it for it to turn back on. Sometimes it will work well for awhile then sometimes it works for maybe 3 seconds. Also I could maneuver it so the display doesnt show and it works fine and plays the music but I have to mess with it to change the volume and such.

Any help is much appreciate. Thanks

Also when it starts flickering, if i push it in it turns back to normal. But basically I'd have to keep my finger on it putting pressure on it while im driving. And thats no fun :-(.
