I just got an orion 2500d amp and it only takes 4 guage power wire. I need to make 2 runs of 0 guage wire, so should I just shave the ends that go into the amp so that they fit into the holes? If not what should I do?

Get a distribution block. Some should allow you to run 0 gauge in one end, and 4 or smaller gauge out the other,

there is no possible reason to have to run two runs of 0 gage wire for that amp.. its powerfull and all but doesnt need that much.. one run should be plenty enough..

Get a set of reduction pins if you want to go staright with a 0ga run. They look like brass pins on one end and have a hole on the other with a set screw for the 0ga wire. Polo.. :-)
