Is there any one brand that stands out as having a really incredible tuner? One that is a lot better than the competition?

I am talking car, which is why I posted in the Car/Head Unit forum. I don't know why the other poster mentioned home.

*lol* I was looking at the Pioneer DEH-P4800MP while you posted! The 8600 is a little out of my price range, but I think they all share the same tuner.

I just found out that Crutchfield has FM sensitivity ratings for all of their products, and it seems Pioneer has the best ratings, and they all have the Supertuner feature.

Thanks for the info!

Joseph,

I was asking specifically about the tuner, not the entire HU.

Pioneer for sure. Pound for Pound the best units for the money. I have owned the deh-p860mp and the deh-880prs and the deh-780mp now and all are excellant hu's with great build quality not to mention the ease of use on them is second to none.
