Does this mean the factory HU has a problem or could this be a wiring problem? I have changed to some aftermarket speakers that came free with the Kenwood X590 and I noticed the problem before. The X590 isn't installed yet but I'm wondering if I might ought to be prepared to run new speaker wire or not.

Just adjust the balance to the left, its free and a lot easier than running new wire

I'm doing that with the old HU which is still in the car but I guess I'm most getting at the idea maybe the original HU is defective. Also if it's defective is this a common occurance?

i dont think its common at all. i never hear of others having that problem. u proll just mesed with the balance u should be able to turn a dile back to were it should be.
