Hey Mike,

Another question. I believe I have it right. But I connect the yellow from the radio (contant) to the Yellow/Green on my car, the red (radio) to the yellow/black (car), and black (radio) to the to the red (car) or to a new ground correct?

Thanks!

well Greg:
if your yellow from radio Constant(aka Batt/Memory) you have to connect to the LT GRN/YEL.
The red one form radio to the YEL/BLK.
and ground Black from radio to the Red or BLK/LT GRN.

yes its correct.dont worry be happy!

Hi all. I hooked up a Jensen to my 1995 Honda Accord using Mike W Lee postd (thanks, Mike!). Stil, it has power but absolutely no sound and no display lighting on the Jensen unit.

There is only one wire that I don't where where to connect in the Jensen. It's the red/black one that the diagram says is for illumination. There's no where to hook it on the Jensen stero unit. Is this the reason why there's no display on the Jensen? Any help at all would be appreciated!

I have just replaced the standard cassette/radio and speakers of my Ford Ka (2000) with a Panasonic MP3 CD player and Sony 3-way speakers using wiring adaptors with limited success. Everything works fine, but I lose all my radio and EQ settings whenever the vehicle is switched off for more than a few minutes. I am guessing that this is due to a wiring problem or that the stereo needs to be directly connected to the battery, but what do I know? If it is a wiring problem could anyone give me a diagram of what should go where?

I have 1994 Altima - I have 2 red/yellow wires and 2 red/blue wires that were attached to my stero wire harness that I'm not sure what to connect them to. If I attach the red yellow wires to a ground all my dash lights work properly, if I attach them to power they just stay on allways. The red/blue wires also stay on allways if attached to power but blow a fuse if attached to ground. Do I need these wires (red/blue)hooked up? Also should the red/yellow wires be grounded? Please help!!!!

Thank you so much Mike, But I still have a problem, I don't quite understand the diagrams that you sent me. The wire harness has been removed from the vehicle by the previous owner and the stero that I'm installing doesn't have these wires on it's harness for me to connect to. So my dilema is I need to know what to do with these wires. If you have any further info. that would be great!!! Thanks again for all the help so far.

My Suburban also has the stock 8" sub is there a wiring diagram for it?
