Can a Alpine MRD-M500 power two Kappa 12inchDVC if not what can. What would you guys get to power these subs.

Yes it can. Whether they are 2 ohm or 4 ohm voice coils will determine how you wire the subs up. You want to end up with a 2 ohm load where the amp will put out around 250w rms into each sub.

They are 4ohm. Which would be better the Alpine or a Rockford 500
