This has probably been asked a hundred times but ill ask anyway, not looking to start an argument but what brand out there makes the most durable, longest lasting amp, with great quality and power. Opinions or experiences would be great. Longest lasting I have seen was a early 90s hifonic amp (lasted 14 years or so) The new one I got bxi 1206d lasted 2 months. Thanks in advance. (2 10" l5 solobarics is what i have.)

new hifonics is NOTHING like old.
check out Sundown Audio for some durable, powerful amps for a reasonable price for what you get.:-)
also, Crystal Mobile Sound has some nice ones, and so does Kicker. :-) ZX series is nice. also, US amps and Zapco. gettin pricey though....

those l5's are dual 4ohm. you'll need an amp that does the power at 1ohm.

Kicker doesn't make a 800.1 and the 600.1 is 2ohm stable you need 1 or 4ohm stable for those subs.

The instuctions said it could be wired from 4ohm to 2ohm. The 2ohm version can be wired to 1 ohm though.
