Make sure that you seal it good though, sealed boxes that leak air are terrible. |

youll never get that box to seal right and the airspace are going to be way off for a sealed enclosure. |

I say feck it, seal that b:tch, just do a good job, just like Isaac said make sure it doesn't leak The box doesn't seem to be too huge, it could sound OK, believe it or not - it could even sound better than when it was ported, sorry goes out to all the SPL guys on the formum, I say feck the extra 3db Do you know the volume of the box, what subs are you gonna be runnin'? |

i would take out the middle baffle (if its a dual chamber box) and then take out the port also... then just put a peice of mdf from the inside of the box against the port so it seals it all off. and then you can cover it like that. unless ur thinking of a dual chmaber sealed box |

Maytbe this is a stupid question, b ut why would you want to seal a ported box? Wouldn't the ported one be louder @ every frequency? |

you get better response with sealed boxes and you get better sound quality.. ported boxes are just for spl, but depending on what you tune the port to, you will get mixed sq into it (sq = sound quality) |
