well phillp that's hard cuz you're underpowering those l7s but they have more cone area. I'd pick those FI all the way, cuz l7s tend to blow a lot, their cones are not so good and you might have to recone them like 10 times lol! Phillp, when you get a good system, you're going to come here and thank all the guys who helped you, cuz seriously, your sh1t is going to bump if you get some FIs or AA arsenals |

u wanna match the rms (continuous power) of your sub with the rms rating of you amp. so for example, if you sub does 500 watts(w) rms at 2 ohms and its a single voice coil (SVC) sub then you need an amp that does about 500 w rms at 2 ohms. if you sub is ,for example, a 2 ohm dual voice coil (DVC) sub, then you want an amp that does the subs rms at 1 ohms or at 4 ohms. make sense or help at all? |

im just curious, why only circuit city or best buy? u can get a lot better stuff out there for a lot cheaper. for 600-700 you could get a nice sub and nice amp. you dont have to use ebay if you dont want to either. you can use legit websites, like the ones liste above if you want. |

alrite, there are many choices then. 12" DD1012 or 10"DD1010 ddaudio.com 12" DD2512 or 10" DD2510 ddaudio.com 12" Fi SSD or 10" Fi SSD ficaraudio.com 12" FI X or 10" Fi X ficaraudio.com 12" ascendent audio aresenal or 10" ascendent audio aresenal ascendantaudio.com take a look and tell me what you think if you want you can post your question in the subwoofer section and get some more opinions by the way, all these subs are less then $250 and is alot better than the kicker. and the weight, their all less then 25lbs. |

the ssd, aresenal and 2512 will all be plenty loud for you, i beleive. they will def be louder and sound better and last longer than the kicker. post it in the subwoofer section and you will prob see some of those subs listed above again and some new ones that i cant think of. |

the ssd is rated at 800rms but can handle up to about 1000. the arsenal is rated at 700rms and takes a lil more but not too much the 2512 rated at about 600 i believe but can handle 900 and still want more. in my opinion, your best bet would be either an aresenal and give it about 600-700 watts or maybe a 2512 and give it about 600-700 watts. ur not gonna wanna go over about 800rms tho cause then you mite have to upgrade your alternator on you car. |

joey, a l5 is not a good sub for a SQL setup, i'd rather get a CVX. |
