I have a good one for Mike. I was over hearing a buddy of mine tell me that there is an adaptor for the stock stereo (connecting plug) from the car that you can plug into and attach a new stereo unit without cutting wires. Is this true? If so, damn I've been gone a while. If they do exist, what are they called and where can I purchase one? Thank a million. Aaron |

Louie,Download this diagrams, print them out,go to the car,see which oem amp you got. check all sound system fuses (it's only three of them). Then connect all wires exatcly by schema!double check!Start your car(or turn to ACC). P.S.the second problem, could be problem with "Om's" setting.Oem speakers and amp does not match to "Om's"setting at your new HU.,then you need buy new set of speakers and go straight ...

Hey, I thought I was lost when I was starting the stereo thing. Now this internet thread thing is making me think I'm getting old and can't handle the technicals anymore. Anyways I'm looking for the know how to install a mp3 player in my 88 jetta. I just connect the wires to the other matching colored wires and then tape em? The wires on my new stereo wont be the same as the ones in the car will they? Will I blow myself up? Thanks for choosing to help me |

Help Please!!! I have a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee--I've seen wiring info that was close, and thought I had it right once, but nothing seems to match exactly. One odd wire from the car to head unit is Brown/Pink. There is also Brown/Red. Any wiring that includes those??? Thanks so much! |

Do you have info for a 1992 Plymouth Laser? I installed a Pioneer head unit--and maybe the problem is the unit--but I can't get the darn thing to dim at night. It is horribley bright! Thanks again! |

I need some help re-wiring a Jensen MP7610 into a '93 Ford Ranger. Everything's hooked up and works, but if my truck sits for a few hours without being started, when I do start it the clock and settings are reset. Not sure which wire is wrong, but if anyone could suggest a fix it'd be greatly appreciated. |

Nicholas you have two choices: short way:remove trim panel on a door/be carefull, dont broke plastic retainers/.then remove turn/hazard-headlamp swith assembly and look for light blue(for left turn) & dark blue(right turn) wires.Run new line through post to the mirror with main line(like speaker, power windows,locks...etc.).Watch out for glass, when it's going down, glass can cut your new line.Ground wire you can connect into any unpainted metal place inside of the door.Put everything back.Do the same with another door(if it's right door then the wire will be much longer.) make everywhere proper connection! --------------------------- second way: you can run each line, straight from park/turn signal lamp.Wires is the same color light blue for left turn signal & dark blue for right turn signal. But when you open the hood and see all this wires going to somewhere,it's looks...you know how.. let me know,if you got some problem. Goodluck. |
