I recently put a new 4X40 watt deck in my 96 Thunderbird. Since then, I have been having problems with the speakers' volume. Setting the volume at level three (of thirty) it is sufficiently loud. I have also had to change the balance to +10 on the left side so that left and right are equal. Should i just bypass the factory amp to get rid of this problem? Or is it something more serious? If i need to bypass the amp, are there any suggestions?

well it sounds like you have a faulty factory amp

you should have to change the balance that drastic to +10 on the left to make it equal..

take it back and looked at

what brand deck is it?, might be a cheap brand..

It is a Rockford Fosgate FF9120 head unit. I can check the wiring and the head unit, but the fact that volume three, with thirty being the top, was pretty loud, I had thought that the problem could have been in the factory amp.
