Does anyone have opinions on the type X components? I like how they have a ring raidating tweeter. I think the 5.25's are rating at like 60 watts. Any like theese or have any problems? |

i havent heard the newer versions, but they are suppose to be nice. 60 watts won't cut it though, go with what Mat suggested. |

definitely need more power, IIRC they are off a Vifa driver which tend to do better with more power. I heard one last year so not sure if it was the up to date version or not but quite nice and really nice when you have two 6.5s in the doors and the tweeter. I still prefer CDT's silks though. |

Thanks for the input guys, Are those CDT silk even more mild (less harsh) than that vifa ring raiditing tweet? |

i dont think youll have to worry about the tweet being to harsh iv got the R set and they sound great, but if its to harsh for you maybe drop the higher freq. on your HU |

even if it is too harsh, if the crossover on the x is anything like on my type-R components, you can adjust the tweeter level. i think i have mine at either -1.5 or -3.0 dB |
