I have a factory HU from a 2006 Explorer installed in my 05 F-150. I am missing a few features.

The VSS on the f-150 is on the 24 pin plug (pin 14)
The Explorer HU needs the VSS on the middle plug. The 16 pin plug. Does anyone know what pin #.

Second, My steering wheel controls do not work. I am guessing it is the same type of problem.

Please Help

Thanks

Stan

Get an aftermarket head unit, much better quality, and much more flexible plus better sound quality.

They make adaptors for the steering wheel controls that work with aftermarket head units as well.

I don't understand why so many people retrofit newer Ford stereos in their cars. Ford stereos are trash for the most part!
