Please I hope theres someone out there with sum advice on this. I need help when ever i hook up my rcas the protect light comes on n the amp is just turned on i can unhook them n the light goes off. if i touch one of the rcas to metal on the truck it comes on as well so its grounding out but wut can i do about it? |

You could get a cd player or ipod and hook it up to the RCA in on the amplifier to make sure it is in fact a problem with the wires or headunit and not the amp itself. If that doesnt work it could be the wires, just try some new wires. If none of the above works its probably your headunit. |

Definitely a grounding problem. Each time you ground out the amp through the head unit, you're risking blowing out the RCA's on the head unit. Where do you have your amp grounded? Is the connection clean, free of rust, and touching bare metal (not painted metal)? |
