Kicker makes excellent woofers, no matter what the price range. Soundstorm tends to overrate their products (as do many manufacturers). Often that 1600 watts is with 14.4 volts running into it at 1% or more distortion levels and at peak output. The amp will work fine, however. If you can hold out for a while, you can get some amazing deals on EBay. I have built all 3 of my car systems using stuff bought used and new on EBay. For $290, you can get much better stuff. look for amps by Fosgate, Kicker, Audiobahn, even COustic has nice stuff cheap. Boxes are dirt cheap too. |

it will probably suck, you should get those CVRs alone, make yourself a box, get hifonics 1206d and buy 2 pairs of infinity reference components, with a 4 channel amp from PPI or another company, then you should be ok... |

Try this instead- I did some looking on EBay for an awesome system for much less- Start with the box. I assume you were looking for something good looking with a plexiglass window- This is a dual bandpass enclosure for 2 12" subs (auction #120014346010)if you do not want to build it yourself $24.99/ $45 shipping. Check out these Alpine subs SWR-124d's (auction #130012868874)- auction not over yet, shipping $73.95. Amplifier- Kicker 350.2 (auction # 180012432928) $99.50/$25 shipping. That brings you to $267 without the cost of the subs- You should be able to get these for $50 or so with that high of shipping costs. Even if you get them for $100 you will be spending less than the $290 plus $82 shipping on your auction, with much better stuff. You should have extra $ to spend on good, quality wiring. This system would have the ability to shake the fillings out of your teeth or just sound damn good. Good luck. Let us know how it comes out. |

its just ok but make sure those are the dual 4 ohm version of the subs. i would try ebay and get a better amp, you can find the 05 versions of these subs for 126 shipped. and find a better amp, and forget about 3 dollar tweeters. |
