Why do some types of amps have no fuses? What are the advantages/disadvantages to this? I recently bought a PA A3000DB and it has no fuses. |

I just googeled maxi fuse, but that is a fuse you put into the amp. what i mean is there is no fuse terminal. there is nowhere to insert a fuse into the amp. by the way thanks for the compliment Julio. |

Yeah, i bought it from a local ad. I have it on 2 12" cvx's. It sounds pretty good. here is a clip of my subs playing. http://realmofexcursion.com/videos/Kicker/cvx12.1.wmv |

haha, i shot that video the day after i put the amp in. i havent had a chance to adjust the gains or anything. i noticed that it was missing some notes too. I'm gonna adjust it then put another video as soon as i can. i get very little time cause of work and my kids. hopefully it will be sooner than later. |

Some higher end amps go w/o on-board fuses. I guess they believe the design has all the protection it needs. My older Zed Audio Optidrives don't have fuses either, I know some nice, older PG stuff doesn't use fuses. Supposedly that PA amp has "4-way protection", so it should protect itself if need-be. |
