Thread: JL 300/2 enough power? |

I ahve a pair of Focal 165w's and have heard they need tons of power. Do you think the JL 300/2 is enough at 150 per channel or would they be better suited with more, say 200 per channel. If that's the case maybe the Audison LRX2.50 although much more money would be the way to go? Thanks for any help you can give. |

The JL would be fine, and sometimes when you overpower component speakers, it's easy for the tweeters to sound really harsh. |

i have the focals and jl 450/1. i was giving them 150wrms and it sounded good. now i have 150wrms going to the woofers and 75wrms going to the tweeters and it sounds much better. |

Thanks for the advice. I'd rather stick to one 2 channel amp though. Do you guys know anything about Orion amps like the 8002 or the PG Xenon 200.2? both give 200 per channel. |
