I was looking at Orion P6.2 components, was wondering how good they are... also it says they are 3-ohm.. how do u wire this? They are rated 100 RMS... is that 100 each or for both? |

100RMS for each speaker. 3ohms is just how the amp sees it. Essentially, you just pick a known power output rating, then apply this formula: A/B*C A=Known ohm rating B=New ohm rating C=Wattage output at known ohm rating For example, here's how you measure what the amp will be giving them: Say it puts out 100watts @2ohms and you want to find out what it will put out at 3 ohms. You take 2/3*100 and the speakers will be getting 66 watts. If it were 100watts @4ohms, 4/3*100 and the speakers would be getting 133 watts. |

The tweets suck major. The woofer part is ok if you have well deadened doors and make sure you can even fit it. The are oversized and pretty deep. I think depth wise is 2.5 or 2.75. I didnt like mine cause the tweet was very harsh and undetailed and the mid was not dynamic enough for me. And they need more than 100rms more like 150rms. I had 200rms on them in my Galant. |
