My Mb Quart midbass speaks in my doors have been underpowered for some time. The speakers distort at high volumes and the right speaker cutts out altogether at low volumes. However, when I turn up the volume it'll sputter a few times with the bass or kick drum and then 'pop' back on and work fine.
Okay, here's my question.
Do I need to get new speakers because I have damaged the voice coil?
Or, because the speakers work intermittantly, do you think they will be fine if I simply get a new amp with more power?

Thanks in advance for any help
