Thread: Setting up equalizers and x-overs |

Hey guys, i just picked up an alpine 9853, and i'm playing around with the eq and x-overs, but honestly have no idea. what should i set the x-overs and 5-band equalizer at in order to get the best sound for rap. right now i'm using factory speakers, and have to alpine type-R 12s on the way. thanks in advance |

Just do the 5 band in the classic 'V' shape and you should be good lol |

The way the equalizer knobs are adjusted. The bass knobs being the highest and treble knobs at the highest with the mid frequency knobs down low-making a V shape. It won't be in knobs on your head unit, but more likely bars. |

yea, i'm playing around with the i-personalize thing on the alpine website... but i think i know what you mean by the v-shape now, thanks. how about the built in crossover... anything i should know about that?? |
