i recently installed a durabrand cd player in my 99 dodge dakota and whenever the bass hits its like the radio skips out. Even when its on regular radio, it skips. I took it back and got a better durabrand radio(more expensive) and installed it and it seems to do the same thing. any ideas what could be wrong with it.

Nothing is wrong with it. You car doesn't have the power to run your system when the bass hits.

Bass requires more power, and you're seeing the lack of power in the head unit. It isn't skipping, it's turning off on you.
