yeah, what julio said, youll get more output from your amp and more power to your subs if you wire both subs together for a 1 ohm load.

one problem, u cant wire 4 ohm dvc subs to 1 ohm, either way i have a single amp running both subs @ 2 ohms, its a el-cheapo LEGACY LA1868 2000 Watt amp. and it bumps them pretty nice for now.

i wont wire them in parallel mode, no way, no two subs are the same, thats why. ill run them the way i have it, its not hurting them nor pushing the, so its just right.

it does not matter which wya you run them series/parallel (bridged) or each speaker series and 1 speaker per channel, the power is the same.

yup^^. i would also look at a kicker kx1200.1 wired to one ohm.

or if you are lookin at two amps get 2 zx750.1's and wire each sub to 2 ohms

or you could get a hifonics:

http://cgi.ebay.com/HIFONICS-BXi1606D-1600W-MONOBLOCK-Class-D-Amp-NEW-06_W0QQite mZ140002533432QQihZ004QQcategoryZ18797QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

or 2 audiobahn a8000t's

"right now hey are wired to 8 ohms."

your also runnin ur subs at 8 ohms. dam. what amp do you have that can wire to 8 ohms and put out the power??? also 2 4ohm subs wire to a 1 or 4 ohm load FYI one 4 ohm sub wires to a 2 or 8 ohm load.

bassman, a lil question, why did you recommend the 1606d, it puts out 1480w rms, i don't think type rs can handle that. The 1206 should be putting 1000w rms at 1 ohm don't you think. Their new stuff is like 75-80% lol!

i wouldn't put a kicker 750.1 on each r if i was you. i've seen many sheets for those amps and the normally say they put out a little over 900w, which is a lot for a r. i wouldn't really go over 700w.
