I just removed this CD player that I bought earlier in the year from a 1998 Dodge Intrepid that was in a collision and installed it in a 1999 Dodge Intrepid. The CD player's tuner works fine and plays clearly, but when I go to use the actual CD player, it reads the disc, but doesn't produce any sound. Could this be due to the collision the CD player was in, or could I have installed it improperly? I connected everything in the correct location, so I don't know what I could've done wrong, as far as installation goes. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Are you using any external amplifiers? |

Nope, nothing like that. The only thing in the car that isn't factory-issued at the moment is the CD player. |

I would guess that the DAC went bad...probably not too expensive of a repair, either. |
