My JVC Kameleon recently sh*t the bed and instead of purchasing a new
head unit i took my girlfriend's Sony Xplod CDX-CA650x which worked
perfectly fine. I got the unit hooked up to my Jeep Grand Cherokee and
wired my amp and sub. The unit worked fine with the radio function
including playing over the sub. When i insert a CD it begins to play
but audio only comes out of my sub.

Besides being a Sony Xplod... WHATS WRONG?????

You hooked up the remote wire from the amp to the antenna turn on (solid blue). Reconnect it to the remote turn on wire (blue w/white stripe) coming from the head unit and you should be fine.

Happens all the time.
