Hey what's up, Quick question for ya: I'm pickin up 2 JL 12W3v2 subs (300 Watts RMS)each and puttin them in to a ported enclosure. I have a Kenwood Kac-30XIT amplifier (old school I know) which puts out: two-channel amp 100 watts x 2 400 watts x 1 into 4 ohms 200 watts x 2 into 2 ohms Think this setup will work? If so, what is the best way to go about doing this.... Also, I noticed these subs are offered in 2, 4, 6 ohms when I checked out the JL website. What is the difference? Any help would be appreciated. Email:Woodmaster23@hotmail.com Thanks, James |

you want the dual 4 ohm subs and wire them like this http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/wiringwizard.asp?WoofQty=2+woofers&WoofImp =Dual+Voice+Coil+-+4+ohms+x+2 use wire option 2 for a 4ohm load. for more on impedence(ohm value) go check out www.bcae1.com |
