I sold a buddy a pair of Kicker CVR 12s with a SubZone Dual Slot Ported box that was made for these subs. Just to test everything I hooked up a small MTX 250 watt amp. Result, not bad so far.

So he is asking me what amp he should buy. These are 400 RMS subs. I recommended a 800-1200 watt amp... maybe hifonics, or the a8000t audiobahn for something under $200.

Any other suggestions for these subs? They are wired to 4ohms each in parallel for a 2ohm load. I was thinking some kinda Class D mono amp that pushes a good 800+ watts for under $200.
