ok i have an eclipse cd3414 in my boat and it has been workin great but now every time i put in a cd it acts like its finding a song then reads info 3 across the screen and wont play. the radio works fine. i dont know whats up. does anybody out there know whats wrong? thanks

Yeah, it's a piece of crap. This happened to my CD8454 so I took it back to the dealer. I got a refurbished one and the same thing happened. I took it back again and got another refurbished and the same thing happened. So that's 3 that haven't worked. I'm trying to get a 4th one or a different model from the dealer. Info3 means the CD is scratched but believe me, that's not it. For a quick remedy you can vacuum the deck out and it might work better temporarily, but no guarantees. It has something to do with the laser I think. Just take it back or get a different cd player. When I say vacuum it out I mean stick a vacuum nozzle up to where the cd goes in and suck away. Hope that helps.
