ALT IS SENDING TO MANY VOLTS TO AMP SENDING 16VOLTS CAUSING AMP TO GO INTO PROTECTION IS THERE ANYTHING I COULD DO BESIDES BUYING NEW ALT? |

do you have a capacitor? it may help direct some of the volts away and keep it from going into protection. idk just a thought. |

what kind of amp?? and your charging system shouldn't be putting out that high a voltage. 15.8 is like max before you will screw stuff up. |

amp kx1200.1 2-SL512 subs the guy at car tunes said the same thing he never seen anything like it. said might be bad voltage regulater in alt.do you think it's wise to disconnect the amp? it works when the lights,heat and defrost is on. joe smeezy i have two caps . |
