Hi, I have a Phoenix Gold Tantrum 600.4 4ch amp. These are the specs.. 75W rms x 4 (4 ohm stereo) 150W rms x 4 (2 ohm stereo) 300W rms x 2 (4 ohm bridged) I want to use 1+2 channels for front stage and bridge 3+4 for my sub. Is this possible (what do I need to do?), what wattage rms would i get??? Many thanks in advance! |

shouldn't be a problem. just make sure you don't put a load on the bridged channel below 4 ohms. set all settings as you would normally for a sub amp. you should get 300W to the sub and either 75 or 150W for the front channels. |

Thanks Brandon! It says in the manual... Minimum bridged load - 2ohms Minimum stereo load - 1ohm Maximum power load - 4ohms bridged or 2ohms stereo. Does this mean I still can't run under 4ohms for the bridged 3+4 channels?? |

yes, no less then 4ohm on bridged channels, so the sub needs to be sigle 4ohm or dual 2, any thing else, not going to work correctly... |

it's clearly stated as a 2 ohm bridgable amp. What's the brand/model? |

oh - I'm stupid in the manual under "common specifications" it does say - Minimum stereo load - 1 ohm Minimum bridged load - 2 ohms but it doesn't give power ratings for either. I would guess power's about the same and there wouldn't be much to gain and the amp would be stressed. |
