I have two Alpine Type Es 12 inch subs. What kind of an amp should i use . I heard a 1,000 watt kenwood. Is that too much or just enough?

the type e's are 200 watts rms, 600 is a little too much. these amps are stable at 2 ohms and would be a good match...

mtx 421D
kicker kx400.1

It's always preferable to connect a stronger amp to a weaker speaker than the opposite, due to current issues...

type e's arent the greatest subs ever made, that amp is underrated so it will putting out closer to 700 watts, almost twice what the rms of the combined. those other amps also will be underrated so it should push them very well.

those amps aren't weak, and those subs arent strong.

try a Kicker CVR15-4 sub and a Kicker KX350.2 amp. bridge it and that will sound great. take a look at them at this site.
