Actually 2 issues, but 1 more pressing. It seems that reguardless of the burning prog or media I use some mp3s do not play properly. Some play normally, while others pause for varying lengths skipping large portions of the track or don't play at all. They are not VBR. No trouble with WAVs or pressed CDs. Any ideas?

Secondarily the display has not functioned for a long time and i'm curious if anybody had any success fixing a cracked ribbon (thats what I assume it to be). I really could care less if the display worked or not, but it would be nice to hear all of my mp3s play right. As far as I can recall the mp3 problem started before the display went.
