My friend just got one loaded with navigation and everything else. His factory stereo is a bose system. He has a JL Audio 10W7 and a 2 channel kicker amp. He wants to use an RCA adapter that you splice into the rear sperker. My question is has anyone done this? And is he better off getting a deck?

A line output converter? They sound okay for low frequencies (100hz and below) but with the mid to high frequencies it would sound better if you replaced the headunit. But with the navigation, it would probably be the cheapest and possibly best thing to do.
