i got 2 JL 12w6v2 in a sealed box running off a JBL 1200.1 amp, i just brought off my friend. It seem that my JL 500/1 amp on 2 W6 sound louder. Will the JBL amp be great for the 2 sub, I'm also planning to hook it up to my JL 12w7. Whice amp i should use for the w7, the 500/1 or the Jbl? |

im not mixing sub, im using the jbl for the 2 w6 and is going to take the amp off the dual w6 and use it to push the 12w7. So the JL 500/1 sound way better then the jbl 1200.1 amp?, even though the 500/1 only push about 500-700 watts |

if you were running them at 4 ohms the jbl would put out 600x1 and the 500/1 would do 500. now the JL is a far more underrated amp then the jbl so actual wattage would be pretty close between the two. If you were to wire them down to 1 ohm and run 1200 from the JBL you would notice a nice increase in output, roughly 3 db's or so. |
