Thread: 3 amps 3 subs one preamp what to do |

ok i am getting 3 vega v-maxx 2 4ohm vc and i have a deh-8600 head unit well i have been tring to find out what amp/amps i should use i was told 3 amps so i thought the audiobahn a8000T 800 rms each 3 of em well the problem is how to get the signal to them? i mean i can split it off and make/buy a 3-->1 rca plug but what else can i do any mono amps of just looking for some ideas |

daisy chain the amps, use splitters, or use an external electronic crossover.

ok would thoses amps be enuff power for those subs the amps say 800 rms @ 2 ohm and the subs are rated 600 rams @ 2 ohm? |

plenty of power those amps have rca outputs so I would just daisy chain them as GW suggested. Rca's in to 1st amp, 1st amp out to 2nd amp, 2nd amp out to 3rd. |

I'm just wondering here but - if each of those subs are 400 wrms then buy a phoenix gold xenon 1200 amp which does 1200 wrms between 1-4ohms - this might be the easiest solution by using this 1 amp alone & the cost of it would = 3 of those ABahn amps ...... |
